Marie Blanco Hendrickx aka Mijn Schatje is a 24 year old hot illustrator and artist based in Paris. This half dutch and half spanish girl is a recent double graduate from Fine Art and Graphic design in North of France. She's an active participant in the Parisian electro scene, where she's creating many LP and CD covers for record makers and ekler'o'shock labels, and Mijn Schatje

flyers and posters for parties. She won international acclaim with her work for TimeRelease (US) and the Taiwanese Avant Garden. Mijn Schatje delivers illustrations for the likes of sportswear brand Reebok and the New York model agency Women Management and the whole of the collection 2008 of the hip Italian fashion house Fornarina will be subject to the unique Mijn Schatje style.

Her work is pure, poetic and sophisticated and has been described as "digital lowbrow" or "Pop Surrealism" if in need of a label. Her silenced, fantastic universe is a bizarre and beautiful landscape from which big eyed elf-like little creatures stare at you with big, mesmerizing eyes. Her work is both romantic and surreal, the kind you would love to get lost in. It is a beguiling combination of innocence and sophistication.
